S.T.E.M. Education

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education is the integration of important core subjects that students need to know in order to be successful and competitive in a 21st century global economy. The purpose of STEM education is for all students, including minorities and underrepresented populations in STEM careers, to achieve literacy across core disciplines, become critical thinkers and to increase their motivation to pursue college and STEM careers. The foundation of a high-quality STEM program is an excellent math and science curriculum that integrates literacy, including digital literacy, and other core areas as appropriate.
